As one of the four core VCTL teams, the Trauma-Informed Support (TIS) Mentors cultivated resources and provided mentoring support to faculty for the implementation and ongoing use of visual-centric bilingual, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed pedagogy. In order to better understand the faculty's perspectives on trauma-informed and culturally responsive instruction at Gallaudet, the TIS Mentors created and disseminated a bilingual faculty questionnaire during the project's first year. During the VCTL project's second and third years, TIS Mentors worked to:

1. Determine the contexts and circumstances on campus where trauma-informed support and intervention are essential;
2. Strategize ways to support faculty in trauma-informed and culturally responsive education;
3. Coach and mentor faculty in using trauma-informed and culturally responsive strategies in classrooms and campus learning environments.
